Intro
LingoPilot transforms language learning by combining real-time AI interactions and gamified experiences tailored to each learner. Inspired by challenges I faced while learning German independently, the platform emphasizes comprehensible input—helping users improve speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through practical and engaging methods.
With features like the Voice Mode (Character Convo), offering dynamic voice-based dialogues, and Picture Quest, an image-driven exercise for creative expression, LingoPilot empowers learners to practice on-demand without scheduling constraints.
The Tech That Drives LingoPilot
LingoPilot utilizes SambaNova’s ultra fast Text-based LLMs to deliver quick, interactive responses, enhancing the user experience with natural sounding voices with a TTS engine - Amazon Polly. Its backend, built on Python FastAPI, integrates advanced tools like Vision models for image-based question generation and the Pexels API for curated visual content. The frontend, developed with Next.js and NextUI, ensures a modern, intuitive interface, while CI/CD is streamlined with Docker and Coolify. The app’s data layer relies on Postgres (supabase) for efficient management and scalability, making the platform responsive and robust for users.
