Accessing the sambaflow package

I’m attempting to run a tutorial from the tutorials repository on the SambaNova GitHub, but I encountered a message indicating that the SambaFlow Python package needs to be installed. It also suggests contacting a system administrator if the package is not already installed. Could you please guide me on how to obtain the package and whom I should reach out to for further assistance?

@bodyshady20 thank you for joining the community.

Those specific tutorials are bare metal examples that should only be run on SambaNova Systems DataScale hardware and as such are intended for our customers that have deployed the same . I will request that the readme file be made more specific. I apologize for any confusion.

If your organization has to interest in training models on our he let us know your business needs and I can route you to the proper representatives.

Does the same principle apply to the ModelZoo repository? If so, as a developer, what approach would you recommend for learning to work with SambaNova, aside from using the starter kits?

@bodyshady20
Yes, The free tier cloud api is an inference only service. It can be extended with open source tooling like langchain, etc. Examples of how’ve we’ve implemented this can be found in the Ai starter kits. The canned demos present in the ai-starter-kits link will provide basic functionality, to get more out of those, I suggest following the instructions for downloading and running locally. As Coby mentions, our public documentation covers all of our products and will only apply to customers who have purchased those systems.

Happy to answer any additional questions you have.

Thanks!
